illage Manor Health Care was constructed in 1983 as a replacement facility for Crest Haven Rest Home founded by Stanley Rodowicz Sr. in the late 1940’s. The ninety (90) bed facility was constructed with a physical plant designed to meet the needs of the skilled handicap resident with all the comforts of home including climate control and air exchange systems. After the completion of the facilities, Village Manor Heath Care was dedicated in memory of Stanley Rodowicz Sr. the founder. In July of 1983, the Rodowicz family obtained from the Department of Health a nursing home license and certification under the Medicaid program and began operating as an intermediate care facility. Shortly after the opening of the facility, Village Manor certified 30-beds under the Medicare program and was able to begin caring for skilled nursing residents. In the early 1990’s Village Manor certified the remaining 60-beds under Medicare due to the demand of the elderly community needs for skilled nursing care and rehabilitation services. As of today, all ninety (90) beds at Village Manor are certified by Medicare and Medicaid and the Rodowicz family continues to operate Village Manor Health Care in a home-like atmosphere providing long-term and short-term care with privacy and dignity to the ever growing elderly population.
